We were born into this.
I was four years old, pushing a broom across a bare subfloor on one of my dad's job sites. I never really left.
I grew up watching my dad build houses and run developments. The family company, Nicholson Bros, has done excavation and foundations since 1993, and that's the part of a house I learned first.
In my twenties, my brother Jordan and I started taking on projects of our own: a lakeside rebuild, a full gut renovation, and a new home built on a foundation our family had poured. Along the way I learned that the part I care about most is the build itself.
What I enjoy is the process. I like working with trades I've known for years, setting the budget and the plan at the start, and holding to both all the way through. And I like watching a house come out exactly the way it was drawn.
Now we build for clients, the same way we built for ourselves.
What we care about on every build.
- →The trades. We work with two of every trade in the region. Many of those relationships go back twenty years or were passed down from our dad, and they are a large part of what you're hiring.
- →The budget and the plan. Set at the start and held all the way through. Managing that is the job.
- →Excavation and foundations. The part of a house we grew up standing in. It's still the part we get right before anything else.
- →Solving problems early. A wet excavation under a footing, or a roof plan that doesn't work. We deal with it the day it comes up, before it costs you time.
- →A house that matches the drawings. It's the reason we do this work.

On Nicholson job sites since he was four. Caleb led the builds on this site, and he runs the design, the trades, and the schedule on every project we take on.
Jordan Nicholson
Jordan grew up on the same job sites and has worked alongside Caleb on these projects from the start. You work with both brothers directly, from the first call to the finished house.
