A custom home is a thousand decisions. Our designer sits down with you and gets the house on paper, then it goes back and forth until it's right. Once the design is settled we pull the permit and price the build off real drawings instead of a guess. That's the order it has to happen in. Most of the projects we hear about went wrong long before anyone broke ground.
Then we build it. Excavation and footings first, because that's the part our family has been doing since 1993 and the part we get right before anything else. Then framing, mechanical, finishes, and every conversation in between about cabinets and floors and stone. A house between four and eight thousand square feet takes about a year.

How long does a custom home take, start to finish?
Design and permits first, then about a year of build for a house between four and eight thousand square feet. Bigger takes longer. We'd rather give you the honest range than a date we'd have to walk back.
What size of home do you build?
Mostly new custom homes between four and eight thousand square feet, built on your land from the foundation up. That's the work we specialize in.

Will the budget I start with be the budget I finish with?
Closer than you may be used to, because we don't price your house from a guess. We price it from finished drawings, after the design is settled and the permit is pulled. If a material or a site condition changes the number, you hear about it that week, not at the end of the job.
Do we need an architect, or do you provide the design?
We work with our own designer. She spends a day with you on what you want, then brings you plans and revises them with you until they're right. If you already have an architect or finished plans, we're glad to build to them.
